There’s nothing quite like a star-studded comedy that sees some of the most entertaining women in Hollywood team up and have, what I can only assume, as much fun off screen as it looks on screen.

Spa Weekend follows three childhood friends, played by Leslie Mann, Michelle Buteau and Anna Faris, who, after years of building their careers, relationships, families and everyday responsibilities, have forgotten how to take care of themselves – and each other.

So they embark on some much-needed pampering during a luxury girls’ getaway. But when their train-wreck friend (Isla Fisher) unexpectedly turns up, the relaxation quickly descends into hilarious chaos. Even though Fisher’s character is the one who causes all the mishaps, the other three still feel a protective need to take care of her, but can their bonds as friends make it through such a crazy weekend unscathed?

The latest comedy from the writers of The Hangover and Bad Moms centres on long-standing friendship as much as comic chaos, using the resort as the backdrop for a reunion that doesn’t quite go to plan. Spa Weekend is the ultimate girls’ getaway film and perfect for fans of Bridesmaids
