Claes Bang delivers a powerful, stoic performance as William Tell, a man weary of war but compelled to defend his homeland when his son’s life is threatened. Opening with the iconic moment of Tell aiming his crossbow at an apple on his son’s head, the film then unfolds in flashback, showing how the conflict escalated and his people rallied to arms.

Hamm fills the screen with stunning landscapes, from lush forests to towering castles, all shot with cinematic flair by Jamie D. Ramsay. This rich visual storytelling is complemented by an evocative score from Steven Price, whose soaring strings and pounding drums add emotional weight.
